Seizures of the Will in Early Modern English Drama by Frank Whigham,

Seizures of the Will in Early Modern English Drama by Frank Whigham,
Frank Whigham presents a detailed and innovative analysis of five English Renaissance plays, set in the context of social rank, gender, kinship, and service relationships. The Spanish Tragedy and The Duchess of Malfi, set at court, explore fantasies of the lurid and decadent life at the center of national culture. Arden of Faversham, The Miseries of Enforced Marriage, and A Yorkshire Tragedy examine the collisions between traditional rural values and newfangled behavior brought from London.

Body Politics and the Fictional Double by Debra Walker King,
Body Politics and the Fictional Double by Debra Walker King,
In recent years, questions concerning "the body" and its place in postmodern discourses have taken center stage in academic disciplines. Body Politics joins these discussions by focusing on the challenges women face when their externally defined identities and representations as bodies -- their body fictions -- speak louder than what they know to be their true selves. As objects of interpretation, "female bodies" in search of health care, legal assistance, professional respect, identity confirmation, and financial security must first confront their fictionalized doubles in a collision that, in many cases, ends in disappointment, distress, and even suicide. The contributors reflect on women's day-to-day lives and the cultural productions (literature, MTV, film, etc.) that give body fictions their power and influence. By exploring how these fictions are manipulated politically, expressively, and communally, they offer reinterpretations that challenge the fictional double while theorizing the discursive and performative forms it takes.

Texas Medical Center Transit Center - Texas Medical Center Transit Center is a station on the METRORail Red Line in Houston, Texas. The station is located within the Texas Medical Center and is located at the intersection of Fannin Street and Galen.

Bullet hell - ... is a sub-genre of shmup video games in which the entire screen is often almost completely filled with enemy bullets. To compensate for the low margin of error presented by a screen full of bullets, the player's ship's collision box is usually restricted to a single pixel in the center of the ship (which is usually clearly marked, more so than normal when bullets approach closer to it).

Elastic collision - An elastic collision is a collision in which the total kinetic energy of the colliding bodies after collision is equal to their total kinetic energy before collision. Elastic collisions occur only if there is no conversion of kinetic energy into other forms, as in the collision of atoms (Rutherford backscattering is one example).

The Dow Event Center - The Dow Event Center (formerly known as The Saginaw County Event Center, formerly known as The Saginaw Civic Center) is located in downtown Saginaw, Michigan. The center consists of two parts: Heritage Theater and Wendler Arena, an ice rink.

Winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award for Nonfiction, this brilliantly reported and beautifully crafted book explores ways in which technology can build on human strengths and compensate for human vulnerabilities, minimizing both mistrust of automation and complacency about its abilities.
